How a $100M Series C SaaS brand used in-person stunts and ICP native skit content to scale distribution on socials.
The Situation
Before working with No Boring Brands:
No track record of native skit-style brand integration
No in-person “stunt” marketing in their playbook
Minimal brand awareness, young company with a name to build
Multiple failed creator partnerships
After partnering with No Boring Brands:
Distribution to 250,000 followers
A trusted creative partner, not a one-off vendor
4M+ impressions on LinkedIn
2M+ views on Instagram
Content collabs with creators totaling 20M followers
In-person presence at the industry’s most prevalent events
Our Approach
Since early 2025, No Boring Brands has partnered with Clay, a sales automation platform that's grown from a $40M Series B to a $7.1B valuation in the time we've worked together. Our scope with Clay has stayed narrow by design, but inside that scope, we've gone viral repeatedly, run 2 in-person stunts, and become a trusted extension of their brand voice across Instagram and LinkedIn.
In February of 2026, we pitched Clay on a concept for SXSW (one of the largest tech conferences in the world): fly our team to Austin, set up a working clay pottery wheel on the street outside the conference, and livestream us throwing clay for 12 hours straight, right in the middle of the foot traffic. Clay agreed, so we sourced a clay kick wheel, set it up on the street, and ran the stream to 80,000 followers across LinkedIn and Instagram. Over 12 hours, we stopped and pitched 250+ event-goers walking by - turning conference foot traffic into a viral loop.
Scaling Our Efforts
We paired the live stream with 4 brand partnership posts to NBB’s owned audience of 250k and sourced 10+ B2B influencers to appear live on stream to engage viewers and post about the SXSW stunt. These influencers included The School of Hard Knocks (a business channel with 20M+ followers), Corporate Dudes (a business channel with 2M+ followers), Vin Matano, Christian di Bratto, Carson Hoffman, and many others.
Beyond the stunts, we make recurring, highly native skits with product integrations built directly into the premise and distribute them to our own owned audience. The goal is content people watch because it's relatable first, with the Clay integration riding along inside the joke instead of interrupting it. Those skits, published across NBB's owned Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn channels have generated 6M+ views to date, giving Clay consistent organic brand awareness and trust-building with an audience that's already primed to engage with corporate-humor content.
